Presenting the new addition to the family.....
Nur Amalina...
Yes...yes....there's a new addition to the family. We happily received her on the 29/12/2007 at 0740hrs.She weighs 2834gms and 48cm tall. And these are pictures of her when she was about 1mth+.Cheeky little gal just like her older sis aka Kakak Yasmin.
And yes yes.....I've been very very busy...all tight up that it was practically impossible for me to blog.So hey....this is a huge effort on my part. And I have to sacrifice my sleep time ok.
Here's my short edition of my birth story (I want to zzzzz....):
Went for a check-up and see Dr M.Henricks @ about 7pm++.My gynae was on leave so I had to see her.Was told to be 3cm dilated. She asked whether I wanted her to break my water bag.I told her no.I was very much afraid to add up a c-section if my cervix didn't dilate sufficiently when I'm all dried up.I was also wishing to go all natural....and drug-free.
After the appointment, I told dh that this may be the day.But it was more to convince myself coz I'm been having terrible contractions for a long time (since 33 weeks....I think). So this pain was all normal for me.So we went to have dinner.
Throughout the journey home, I kept telling dh to be prepared. No harm.I even told him to prepare everything before sleeping. I wanted him to sleep coz I didn't know how long this pain was gonna last.I was a little convinced that it was simply false labour.
Surfed the internet for last minute labour advice before deciding that I was indeed in true labour. Timed my contractions. It was regular. 1 in 3mins . Regular and intense . I tolerated as long as possible. But I was afraid that it would alarmed dh if I decide to wait too long.
So @ about 3am, decided to wake dh to prepare to go hospital. @ the hospital, to my dismay I was only 4cm opened! But the pain was excruciating this time round.Wanted to go drug-free but decided at the last minute to go for epidural.
Wrong move.
With epidural, strangely I was settled for only about 5 mins before I could still feel all the pain.Dh went off for breakfast, thinking it would still be a long time. The moment dh went down, my nurse checked on me.I was 8cm dilated!
Called dh back(luckily he didn't choked on his breakfast).By the time he came back,I was ready to push.
And out came....our baby......finally...
(trust me.....this is the shortest version of my birth story)
